Educational and Developmental Endorsement

Jeffrey Avergun is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He has completed a Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology degree from the University of Melbourne, and a full member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI).

Jeffrey has undergone extensive postgraduate training in Educational & Developmental psychology to better support young people, their families and  supporting networks around them.

Jeffrey values the importance of creating a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship, acknowledging how hard it can be at times for young people to open up regarding various life challenges. He has a particularly strong passion for working with neurodiversity  and supporting people with disabilities through a strengths-based approach.

Jeffrey has experience working in a diverse range of areas, including: 

- Community Mental Health 

- Primary and Secondary Schools

- Department of Education

- Private Practice

Within these roles, Jeffrey has worked under a trauma-informed lens with diverse population groups including refugee/migrants, domestic/family violence survivors and children with various disabilities and intellectual complexities.

Jeffrey is equally passionate about administering cognitive and educational assessments, and providing individualised recommendations to best support each young person in the short and long-term.
